On The Way To The Coast
This is in Schulenberg, Texas, on the way to the coast. When you take 77 south from Waco, you
need to keep your eyes open for some interesting bits of local culture. The store is real.

Escape to Broken Bow
I went with the family to Broke Bow, Oklahoma to stay at the new cabin our friends, the Epners built. The cabin was incredible, I can't imagine a more luxurious or spacious cabin in such a rustic, woodsy setting. It was tremendous. The weather changed constantly while we were there. We had warm sunshine, cool, cloudy periods, thunderstorms, and gentle, misty mornings. I got in a five mile hike with my son, who, at age 12, is now in better shape than I am. He sprinted the last 50 meters of our hike, up hill, just for fun. My legs declined his invitation to join him in the last burst.
